"Finding A Balance Between Eating Healthy And Indulgence."
Jack of all trades..
HEY! WHAT'S UP? IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU!
When I was a kid, I wasn’t like the others. I tried everything on my plate. And if I didn’t like it, I would find a way to make it awesome. And that’s, sort of, what I’ve been doing ever since, making food awesome. Sadly, when I learned about nutrition it didn’t sound very tasty and I had to sideline a lot of things I really enjoyed but for the benefit of a healthier lifestyle.
So eventually, I compromised. And I started cooking healthy foods the way I wanted to make healthy foods. Tasty. Delicious. Wholesome. The foods that comfort your soul and protect your body at the same time.
I'm Jack! a registered dietitian nutritionist, chef & food blogger! Originally from Pennsylvania but I've lived and worked in 7 states! My Favorite things include Cooking, Exercising, Photography, and a late night bowl of cereal.
You Don't Know Jack...
I've lived across the country in some of the most
extraordinary places. Places like Providence, where the
bitter cold was overcome by the pleasantries of the countries
tiniest state. To Carmel, where the western coast line teems with oceanic wildlife. Maine followed next, where the lobster is good.
Up to the atmosphere of Denver where the air is thin. Over to the windy city of uptown Chicago then headed down to Wichita. To the big sky of Bozeman and into the beauty of Sheridan. Finally settling into the city of love, the of Philadelphia. From coast to coast I've seen more than most and met incredibly wonderful people along the way.
FOOD AS A COMMON FACTOR.
THE TAKE AWAY.
As a chef and as a registered dietitian the biggest take away from my travels is in realizing that no matter who you come to meet, wether it be professional athletes, ranchers, hipsters, seniors, or those struggling to get by, we can all relate through food. Food builds cultures, fosters societies, and brings people together from all walks of life.
