Chocolate Almond Fudge Brownies

This week I wanted to make some awesome brownies that I have been baking up at work, at home. Lucky for you, I decided to film the whole thing as well. So now I won’t be the only one getting to enjoy these awesomely gooey brownies.

 

In just under an hour (bake time included) you can go from brownie-less to growling at the person next to you trying to steal the last one.

 

These are my favorite not just because they stay soft for more than a few days but because they’re accentuated by almond extract that add an incredible second layer to the dominant chocolate taste.

Chocolate Almond Fudge Brownies

“Gooey almond accentuated fudge brownies!”

 

Prep Time: 30 minutes                                           Total Time: 1 hour                                           Servings: 25 brownies

 

 

Ingredients ​​

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/2 cup margarine

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 teaspoons almond extract

  • 3 each eggs

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder

 

Directions

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, combine olive oil, margarine, and chocolate chips.

  2. Heat for 1 minute in a microwave to melt.

  3. Add the granulated sugar, salt, baking soda, almond extract, and eggs. Mix until well combined.

  4. Sift in the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder and fold until just combine.

  5. Pour batter into a greased 9×9 baking dish and bake at 325°F for 35 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out slightly gooey.

  6. Allow to cool completely to prevent the brownies from falling. Then enjoy. 

Notes

  *Switch out the almond extract for coconut or even orange extract!

  *Undercooked brownies are safe to eat because the internal temperature reaches above 165°F.
