Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

This is the one. My go to morning rush breakfast. My protein dense post workout recovery shake. Yes, everyone knows how to make a smoothie. And no, there's nothing complex about this one. So is it worth sharing? Absolutely. Imagine waking up every morning to a nutritiously satisfying drink with a taste equivalent to eating a box of chocolates. If that doesn't doesn't give you something to look forward to in the morning, you'll be hard pressed to find something that does. Remember, this may be packed with protein but if you're looking to lose weight you may be interested in the lower calorie option below. 

 

 

 

 

 

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

“Like drinking melted chocolate, but more nutritious!”

 

Prep Time: 5 min.                                    Total Time: 5 min.                            Servings: 1- 16 ounces 

  

 

Ingredients:  

            ​

  • 12 ounces whole milk

  • 1 medium sized, very brown banana

  • 2 tablespoons creamy honey peanut butter

  • 1 tablespoon Hershey's Dark Cocoa Powder

  • 1 handful fresh spinach (frozen)

 

Low Calorie Options:  

            ​

  • 12 ounces skim milk (sub soy or almond)

  • 1 medium sized, very brown banana

  • 2 tablespoons PB2 powder

  • 1 tablespoon Hershey's Dark Cocoa Powder

  • 1 handful fresh spinach (frozen)

 

Directions:

 

1. Blend in a blender.

 

 

Additional Notes:

 

 1. Add a dark cherry compote for an amazing flavor!
