Trail Mix Cookies

This week features, trail mix cookies! Rich buttery cookies encasing everything you love about good ol’ trail mix. That sweet, that salty, that super crunch! All of that in just one bite, after another, after another, after another… Just like the snack, these cookies aren’t just for the trail but for anytime, all the time. But don’t let this recipe send you running to the store to retrieve every single ingredient. Open up your cabinets and use up all those opened bags of ingredients you’ve been waiting all year to get rid of. The truth is, that’s how these came to be.

Servings: 3 dozen

Level: Easy 

Prep Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

Unsalted butter

Granulated sugar

Brown sugar

Eggs

Vanilla extract

Salt

Baking soda

AP flour

Dry roasted peanuts 

Slivered almonds

Cheerios

Pretzel sticks, crumbled

Craisins

Dark chocolate

Granola

16 oz.

1.5 c.

1.5 c.

4 E.

1 T.

2 t.

1.5 t.

4 c.

1 c.

1 c.

1.5 c.

2.5 c.

2 c.

16 oz.

1.5 c.

Directions:

Cream together the butter and sugar. Mix in the wet ingredients. Then add the dry ingredients until just combine. Finally add the peanuts, almonds and the rest.

Scoop cookies onto a greased baking sheet and bake at 350F for 15 minutes. 

 

To Serve:

Serve with a glass of milk!

Get creative with different trail mix items!
